New Paintings Fresh From The Studio
Ritual 21, Acrylic Abstract Painting on cradled panel, 8 x 8 x 2″
This painting is another one from the Rituals series. I’m enjoying the idea of rituals. Rituals help me get into the groove of painting.
This past ten days or so have been busy in the studio, and it’s so nice to be able to look at brand new work for a while before it goes out the door. Because I decided not to procrastinate and wait till I had to have these, I’ll have ample time to finish off the sides, put the wires on, and photograph and inventory each one properly.
Ahhhhh.

I hope to remember this nice feeling, and can learn to avoid the usual self-inflicted pain of slamming up against deadlines.
Armadillos!
While I’ve been glued to the studio, an armadillo or two, or who knows – – maybe a whole family of them — have dug underneath my fence and established a subterranean condo. This is a really serious problem that must be addressed. Any ideas out there?
Ooh you’re such a tease! I wanna see them all close up & personal! They look great!
Marty! I’m so proud of you with all the work! They all turned out gorgeous!
Lets make boots for the dawgs out of the armadillos!!??
Thank You, Margaret. I’ve visited your site and really enjoyed your work. Very evocative pieces. Do come by again.
Annette, thank you so much for your research on armadillos. I will definitely check out that link. I love your positive attitude toward this. I hope I can be inspired by it all. I’ll update you.
candiedfabrics, I promise to show each one in future posts. Thanks!
Thanks Dina. Aww, I wouldn’t hurt a poor hungry and hard-working armadillo. I even want to evict them before they have babies, because that would be sad thought — homeless armadillo families.
OOH! Everything on that table looks yummy!
Glad you like, John!
Martha – wow!, fabulous art and armadillos – quite the combination – your ability to create this much work is amazing – I’m such a dawdler –
Jeane, Thank you for that — but you don’t seem like a dawdler do me!
