A Brand New Day

November 25, 2017

This brand new day is full of possibilities and promise. So before someone, or something, tries to grab it away from me, I will claim it as my own. My very own day to spend as I alone choose. How will I spend it?

I will definitely include a second (or third) cup of coffee.

A little background music — this might be a nice choice.

Add some paper from the stash . . .

maybe a canvas or three . . .

some paint . . .

Get out the glue, and maybe some other interesting things . . .

And I’ll see what my very own day brings. Perhaps some buried treasure just waiting to be brought to light.

. . . out of all the chaos.

Have a brand new creative day!

I love this, Martha! I spent my Thanksgiving day just this way and it was wonderful…If you like jazz, you might check out my JazzCookie site at http://jazzycookie.wordpress.com Jazz and art and poetry just go together in my world.
    Cheers!

Oh, thanks for the music link, Molly! I can’t get enough jazz, and now I can just tell Alexa to play me some and it’s done! Will go to the site now.

    Love your process

So happy to hear you say that, Pat. I know I’m always inspired when looking over another artist’s shoulder. Wish we could do that in real life.

Perfect day indeed! You are always inspiring and I’m so glad you share with some of the rest of us.

What a perfect day! I had other plans but I’m saving this post and will follow along with you, perhaps tomorrow afternoon. And thanks to Molly for the jazz link. Loved Stan Getz in the 50s and still do.

Sounds great, Jo! I too loved Stan Getz in the 50s and listened to that and other jazz records when the other kids were listening to rock ‘n roll. Well, I listened to those too, but I loved Jazz the most.

Thank You! I’ll see what’s in my stash of paper, fabric, mediums that need to come to light/life in this new day.

I love getting your comments, so please don't be shy! Your feedback is valued.
