Collage: Things I Didn’t Notice
October 6, 2011
Today I noticed . . .
that there are never enough hours in the day to accomplish everything on my list.
that just one small delay can change the whole day around.
that no matter how well I plan, some days I need to just go with the flow.
that it’s easy to get wrapped up in what I should do rather than what I want to do.
Some things I didn’t notice until I took a deep breath and looked around . . .
I have dwarf dahlias that are still blooming among the vegetables.
and butterfly bushes
and roses
and marigolds
that the leaves are just beginning to turn
that a simple pot of soup is a beautiful thing.
I hope you have time to notice the beauty that’s right under your nose.

Beautiful flowers and your soup looks like a great meal in itself (I like soups with some body). You really have green fingers! Here it is springtime and we’re planning summer planting.
Sandra, I hope your garden gives you lots of beautiful things. I love soup with some “oomph” too. We have soup often here.
What a wonderful collage. So deep and mysterious. All your work lately is so inspired, just missed dropping in.
Eva, I think of you often and know you’re here when you can be. It’s nice to hear from you. I will take a peek at what you’ve been doing as well.
Beautiful. There is enough time, we don’t always plan well, and sometimes planning seems to much un-spontaneous – that’s my problem.
You are so right, Fadwa. It’s kind of a tightrope sometimes. Maybe planning some spontaneous time would be good. Early mornings when the mind is clear!
Don’t overlook the little things. You’ve got some gems there.
Thanks, Myfanwy. I hope I can just remember to do this.
How timely reading this, since I have been having noticing that I better spend my time wisely. There aren’t enough hours in the day. Choosing what works for you is so important. I love your site, it is a real treat to visit. Your art and photos are scrumptious.
Thank you for stopping by, Janet. I’m so happy you liked the post and that you enjoy the art and pics. This time management thing is starting to be front and center for me. It’s easy to get scattered. Have a great weekend!
