A Patch of Blue Sky!

January 26, 2011

Clearing and Cooler, Acrylic on Canvas, 30x 40″

This is what our sky looks like today. We were supposed to get the tail end of a snowstorm last night, but it never materialized. When I went out with the dogs before daylight, it was raining with a mixture of snow thrown in for good measure.

Later today we actually saw the sun come out. It was a beautiful sight! It’s just above freezing here, and there are birds everywhere. I think they are over this winter stuff.

Oh, and we have little tiny daffodil shoots coming up.

This painting is available for sale. Please let me know if you’d like more information.

Lovely colour contrasts Martha, this one goes up on my computer. Hope it warms up soon for you though.

Thanks, Sandra! Wow, today as I write this (Saturday) it’s already above sixty degrees! Hooray!

This is a soothing picture of color somewhat similar to the feeling I get from a Renoir even though it is an abstract.
