New Collage And An Inspiring Art Video

Robert Burridge

After that long and ongoing discussion stemming from yesterday’s post, I came across this Robert Burridge Video that I’d like to share with you. He calls his studio “The Magic Studio.” His joy of painting is infectious and he says many of the same things we’ve all been saying, and more. I hope you’re inspired. I’m sure you would enjoy more of his videos and blog. I think his workshops would be a blast.

Today I’m in and out of the kitchen. We’ll have ten here tomorrow for Thanksgiving dinner. My part is the turkey, stuffing (if you’re from the American South you call it dressing) giblet gravy, and two pecan pies.

Our house is really small for entertaining large groups, but we make it work. I’ll bring my long studio table into the big country kitchen and set it up beside our family table. So part of my “magic studio” will be right in the middle of everything.

I hope you can think of a long list of things to be thankful for; I know I can. You are very much a part of that for me.

Stay tuned for an upcoming post about my fun Citra Solv experiment!

Joyce! So glad you’re on Twitter. I’ve followed you back.

We’re having family here tomorrow, and it’s going to be easy. I’m doing the turkey, dressing, gravy, and 2 pecan pies. My sister is making her famous home made rolls, and many other yummy veggies and salads from the clan.

      Enjoy your day!!

John, I’m not sure what you’re referring to, but if you’re asking about the collage, no it’s a collage made up of paper and paint skins.

Have an awesome and amazing Thanksgiving day tomorrow Martha!!

I know it will be warm and cozy with all your loved ones in your home. Bet you are cooking several things from your garden eh? Can smell and taste it all from here!

Love the messages in the video. “Perfect is Boring!” LOL Just love that.

Take care and big Hugs for being such an amazing person and artist! I’m thankful for you. 🙂

Thank you Itaya! It’s a typical North Alabama Thanksgiving outside, gray and drizzly and a little chilly. Not really cold yet. So inside we’ll be warmed by the oven and all that laughter and body heat crammed into one kitchen and living room. It will be nice.

No garden veggies, actually. Since our house is the gathering place, I signed up for the turkey and stuffing and pecan pies!

Yes, I think I’ll make a sign for my studio wall that says “Perfect is Boring!!!”

      Happy Thanksgiving, Itaya!
