Dancing Around the Studio

November 1, 2010

I have my favorite “station” on Pandora Radio and am dancing around the studio, celebrating getting the new paintings shipped out for the Florida commission. Plus I’m celebrating the receipt today of a surprise check for the sale of two more paintings from the same Tampa gallery. I’ve shown these two on the blog before, but never looked at them together. I’m pleased with the choice the collector made.

I don’t want to show the pictures of the commission pieces yet. I want to make sure they’re installed and everyone is happy with them.

My husband, God bless him, went to Fedex for me today, and has now gone to visit my aunt for a few minutes at the nursing home. In return, I’ll make him a nice drink when he gets back and a dinner of fresh greens from the garden with some pinto beans and corn bread. We’ll have sliced fresh farmer’s market tomatoes and chunks of onion on the side. It is Alabama, after all! (Although I do have to say that the Alabama never got out of the girl. That’s always been one of my favorite meals!)

Toni, we sure got cheated with our fall this year. Some pretty colors, but it was so dry here throughout the summer and early fall that the leaves immediately just dropped after they turned. Some turned brown and fell without changing colors at all. 😦

Pictures to be proud of. The customer will love them, I’m sure.
Pandora is not available in Germany any more. Too bad. Our restrictive law and a greedy society for collection of royalties! I have last fm instead.

Thank you, Eva. Notice I chickened out of using any black! Sorry you can’t get Pandora any more. I forget about it sometimes, but when I remember, it’s great to listen to.

What a gem Jim is! And you can tell him I said so.

It’s great to have such supportive partners. I couldn’t do it without mine either. I’d go make him a drink, but it’s too early in the morning. 🙂

Congrats on the sales and order!

Thank you, Sandra. It was a relief to get it all done. And the Southern country meal was the perfect celebration.
