Haiku 71 – Acrylic on Cradled Panel

July 1, 2010

“Haiku 71 – Acrylic on Cradled Panel, 8 x 8 x 2”

One of my newest Haiku series paintings, with maybe three more to finish before I can show them.

Nineteen of my paintings are in boxes waiting to be shipped back from a gallery. I am really looking forward to seeing them again. All are the same 8 x 8 panels. The more the merrier!

Your art reduces painting to …. can’t tell what, because it is total.

You have a delicate hand at the balancing the haiku series with colors and processes. I am drawn to the depth in this cradle edge on the painting…a sharp edge to the fluid surface that is now present. Happy 4th of July! Imagine and live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

Sometimes it just happens that way, Mary Helen. Other times it’s a bit of a battle. Thank you!
