Snow-Covered Art Papers

February 16, 2010

Update on the buried papers project

I keep walking out to my garden to look at the papers every time I take the dogs out to play — which is several times a day. Now we are looking at slowly melting snow on top of the heap. This will undoubtedly allow the papers to soak thoroughly, but these cold temperatures are going to slow down the decay process. Stay tuned for further updates!

And the cats just have to be content watching through the window.

Glad you enjoyed the dog and me, Gina! Just visited your blog. Some exciting stuff going on there too!

We’re having a heat wave today — going up into the 40s F!

    You’re so cute Martha! LOL
Wanting to peek so badly. 🙂

Can’t wait to see what the pages look like when the snow melts. Surely that has got to do some kind of artsy damage to them!

Itaya, wanting to peek somes from my printmaking days, I think! It used to be so exciting to see a print being pulled on the etching press. You could work and work for days before you would know how the print was going to translate. This is a bit like that!

Aren’t cats just the most sensible creatures 🙂
I want to see how the papers are looking – can I peek?

Yes they are, Cath! And they know their creature comforts!

We’ll get a peek soon. I think the ones that are lying underneath the leaves will need to be checked before too long.

Martha, you sound just like I thought you would!

I’m anxious to see the papers too!

That’s nice to know, Virginia. I love thinking that you’re hearing me talk when you read my words!
