A Big Saturday Find

April 25, 2009

Lorraine Glessner is an artist whom I just recently met on Twitter. In her blog “Oh, What a World, What a World” she frequently showcases contemporary art in all media that she finds unique, interesting and inspiring.  The works from other artists that she finds and shares on her blog are a feast for the imagination. Her own work is rich, complex, and delicate. If you spend a few minutes looking through her website and blog, I believe you will find something to inspire you. I’ve added her to my blogroll so I won’t forget to visit often.

I’m still away and will keep my eyes open for new sights and inspirations to share.

    Hi Martha,

Thanks for taking the time to stay in touch even though you are on holiday!

Lorraine Glessner’s work is mind-boggling in detail and it’s gossamar quality. Thanks for that.

I also like the last piece you posted. I made a painting yesterday that had about four incarnations through the day. I’d like to show it to you…maybe. 🙂

Thanks for being so generous with your time.

    Safe trip home. Sherrill

Lorrain’s scars series really speaks to me and she has featured many wonderful artists.

Hi Martha, Thanks for the link to Lorraine’s blog. Her work and her highlighted artists are a great find and delicious viewing. Speaking of which, I’m really enjoying your latest candy and cupcake paintings. It makes me want to run down to the Publix bakery! It sounds like your family visit in Philly is wonderful. Take care.

I love getting your comments, so please don't be shy! Your feedback is valued.
