Works in Progress

April 21, 2009

Here are some of the new pieces I’m working on in brave new colors. Several of them are still curing outside in the sun, so I can’t show those yet.

These will not be ready to deliver until tomorrow afternoon, and still they will be tacky, rather like the consistency of a Sugar Daddy Caramel Pop. Because they are built up in so many layers, they won’t completely harden for a few weeks at least.

Meanwhile, they can’t be allowed to touch each other face to face, and even after that they need protection of some type between them when stored.

Hi Martha, These are fun. But I have to agree with your initial doubts
about the first one ‘fitting in’ with the others. It is more ‘serious’ than the others for sure.

Can’t wait for what comes next!

I agree with Annette also, the top one is my favorite. I love the contrasting colors and textures.
I must say the one with hearts surprised me. I don’t think that I’ve seen anything like that in your work before. I’m partial to hearts, you’ll find a lot of them in my work!

Lisa, the hearts are strictly a fun piece, but I’m captivated by them. Show us your work!!

The one with lavender blue is best, I think. — Did my painting arrive?

Brave new colors indeed! What a great pop of color here. My favorite…the first. The blend of the earth tones with that vivid blue really sings!

I love getting your comments, so please don't be shy! Your feedback is valued.
