Introducing Digital ACEO Sheets
April 4, 2009
Another product rollout in my Etsy shop — this time it’s printable ACEO sheets. So far there are four in the first series, which I’m calling my Urban Grunge series.
I said I was doing art yesterday. I spent most of the day working in PhotoShop. Here is one of the sheets.

Martha, what a good idea. Hope you sell a ton.
Thanks Mary — it certainly isn’t an original idea, but they’re unique images that maybe some people will like.
Martha, These look very interesting. I have no idea what ACEO sheets are but would like to know. I’m assuming they’re a kind of paper for printing on. It’s that digital world that throws me.
Margaret, that is an excellent question, and an obvious one if you aren’t familiar with ACEO’s.
They are miniature art cards, the size of trading cards, 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 inches. They began as ATC’s, or Artist Trading Cards, and were originally meant to be traded, hence the size.
Nowadays artists are creating them and selling them as original art. These sheets are pre-sized backgrounds to print out onto cardstock, cut out, and then embellish with paints and other mixed media to make them into original art. They are offered as a digital file.
Thanks for your question!
Real nice work Martha ~ especially love the texture!
Thanks Marie Louise!
Oh these are cool Martha – very, very cool. And the even cooler thing (is that bad English?) is that being a digital file they arrive in places like New Zealand instantly – no more waiting for the mail to arrive or stalking the Postie.
