My Paintings Are Coming Home

February 24, 2009

At long last, my gallery owner friend is going to be meeting me in Florida this coming Saturday to bring me the remaining paintings he still had when his gallery closed last year. I haven’t seen them in two and a half years, so it will be a nice homecoming. Some of them are my very favorite ones. We had a two-person show in June of 2006, and I had put quite a few in the show. He wanted to keep some of them a while longer. But now they’re coming back home.

Here are three of them. It will be like welcoming old friends.

These are just so, so beautiful. I LOVE your colours, and the beautiful soft shapes. I am going to add them to “my pictures” to inspire me – I have a lot of yours saved there. These are some of my absolute favourites. I really can’t rave about them enough.

Sandra, I’m honored to know that you like keeping the images for inspiration. I like to do the same thing with works that inspire me.

I don’t have to tell you I love them all.
    But I will.

    I love them all.
    Silence and Dive especially.

Thank you, John. These are going to need an exhibition space. I’m hoping to find a new gallery some time this year.

So beautiful!! I think I like this period in your work the best. It’s good to get them back home!

Well Dina, I haven’t given up on my color. I just have less reason to produce so many large scale paintings right now.

It’s going to be nice to see them with fresh eyes after such a long time. I can’t wait!

beautiful, gorgeous – deep and rich. I just came back from vacation in the Caribbean…your color rivals what I saw there

Catherine, I hope you had a wonderful time on your trip. It must have been beautiful right now. Thank you for that nice compliment. Glad you like these.

If it were me, and my ‘beloved’ works of art were outside my safe-keeping, it would be ‘ole homecoming’ when they came back through the door.

Looking forward to your Saturday post Martha.

    Cheers, Sherrill

I most likely won’t be able to post about this until Sunday, Sherrill. It will be a long day-trip. But I’m sure I’ll want to share my joy.

I love getting your comments, so please don't be shy! Your feedback is valued.
