Never Pay to Show Your Art

Artists, take the time to watch this video and then memorize every word if necessary. This is so important, and stated so well by Mat Gleason of Coagula Art Journal.

Canvas Cubed

I was just introduced on Twitter to Canvas Cubed, created by a young woman artist who has decided to design and market very deep-profile stretched canvases with a distinctly sculptural presence. Not only that, she will custom build to your specs. I like her canvases and I like her enterprising spirit.

How to Collage Your Art Journal, Step by Step

Aisling D’Art shows you exactly how she does it on her very inspiring website.

Loads o’Monet

And finally, if you doubt that there are still enough high end collectors out there willing to drop eye-popping sums of money on art, check out the current article from The Daily Mail and fret no more. Concentrate on that positive thought and have a happy and creative weekend!

I used to keep a daily journal for years to which I added pictures, drawings, watercolors…never really thought about collage. Wonderful idea.

Dina, I am terrible about keeping a journal. I did it religiously for years, but it somehow fell by the wayside. I want to do it again, even though my habit is working digitally with ideas, or just grabbing the first sketchbook that’s handy when I want to draw something.

Martha those Canvas Cubed are amazing. And love the collage journal link – I wish I did more of that kind of art, but I never seem to get to it often enough.
