We’re Going To Be OK

January 20, 2009

I am sitting here amazed at the crowds in Washington today. For everyone reading this who isn’t in the USA right now, I can attest to the fact that you are seeing on your screens what America really looks like.

These pictures are a powerful testament to the fact that we are going to be OK. And not because of the hopes placed in one man’s ability to turn our country around, but because of an awakened belief in ourselves.

Here’s to the New West Wing. Happy inauguration day!

As a Canadian I believe in this President. I believe he will quell the fires of hatred towards the U.S. for many reasons that I will not attempt to go into right now. But he has a commanding presence, along with an apparent kind and just heart. I also believe he will work very hard and pull no punches when it comes to protecting the U.S.

One of my favourite lines from his speech was when he said: “We makes no apologies for our way of life.” That position was very reassuring somehow.
Congratulations, and God bless us ALL.

Was watching it all from New Zealand – really amazing and emotional and what an inspirational leader you now have. My best wishes to go to the USA for a brighter future.

I believe that Barack will be a superb leader, of America, and that he will be an inspiration to leaders around the world.
I puff up with pride every time I look at him (I’m Australian/Scottish) and I know he is the right man in the right place, for the whole world.
