Saturday Finds

January 3, 2009

Here are my Saturday Finds for you this first Saturday of 2009. Hope you enjoy exploring!

TinEye Reverse Image Search

Click here to submit an image that you want to locate on the web and this site will search for it. The site is in beta right now, but as images are added to the database, results will improve. I’ve bookmarked it.

CraftRobo

Here’s a toy I’d love. Just think of the potential.

Zaishu Furniture at Le Souk

Zaishu is the name of these these beautiful, ingenious, funky, fun, versatile tables/seats which are slotted for easy assembly.  Available at Le Souk, and hand printed with an assortment of unique designs by international artists, these little pieces would make a great statement in a room.

Art-o-Mats Catching On

I’ve always wanted to do this at the next group show.

They wouldn’t add much to your bottom line, but should be more fun and memorable than giving out a business card.

EDAR – Everyone Deserves a Roof

Click on the picture to learn more about these ingenious mobile shelters for the homeless.

Be sure to watch the LA Times video on the “News” page.

I found this by Stumbling onto Twilight Earth, a blog filled with important articles about environmental issues. I don’t like to preach on this blog, partly because I know a lot of you belong to the choir. But this issue is dear to my heart.

Have a great weekend.

I have always LOVED the Art-O-Mat idea….even put out a call locally for old cig. machines.
In December, my brother brought 4 machines that sold some kind of food in them, we tried to work on a box idea for them…..still working on that. I wanted the box to be big enough for a ATC inside, so not sure if these machines will work. Brother is coming back sometime this month & we’ll work on that some more. They are wall mounted machines – that’s another thing I’m not sure about.

Me too, Dale Anne. That machine sounds like it has potential. Have fun figuring it all out!
