Rebecca Koury

I discovered Rebecca Koury’s website through an online group we both belong to, and thought you would enjoy her work as much as I do.

I love what she does with layering and the softness and subtlety of her colors.

Conceptual Art Wedding Bands

Artist Sakurako Shimizu has created these unique wedding bands by using the sound print from the couple’s voices saying “I do” and laser cutting it into the rings. Click on the picture to see more of her fun and offbeat designs.

My Moo Cards

I don’t know if you are aware of these little Moo mini cards, which have a cult following on the web, and deservedly so. They more than make up for their 1 x 2-3/4″ size with their impressive look and feel. I ordered 100 of these about a year ago and still have quite a few because I don’t give out a lot of business cards. What I do use them for a lot is to enclose with my shipments of artwork from my Etsy shop.

They’re packaged in a sleek little pristine white plastic box that reminds me of a small version of an old-fashioned photo slide container.

To order you just need to upload your photographs or images of your artwork to a flickr account. They come in lots of 100 or more, and you can use up to 100 of your images for the backs, which I find amazing.

Here’s a one-minute video that shows you what I mean.

And here is an article with more stories and pictures.

I need to paint! But instead I will be making hot pepper jelly. Found a great sounding recipe on the package of Ball Liquid Pectin.

See you Monday if not sooner.

Martha, I did give out my Moo cards as business cards and they were a huge hit. Everyone wanted to know where I got them. I ran out and ordered the business card size from Moo this time. They are also pretty cool.

Yeah, Mary – I think I’d like some of those too.
