Speaking of translating small art to large, thanks to Melody Johnson’s blog post yesterday I tried out this fun site for placing your own art or any photograph into various settings. The first two pictures are of two of my 4″ monotypes. The bottom one is a 7 x 5″ painting on paper. This is a quick way to see how your small art looks in large scale.
And the one below is one that I created from a photograph I took inside a furniture store. The painting on the wall is actually a 5 x 7″ painting on paper that’s in my Etsy Shop, titled “Fuego.”

Just a little diversion this morning. I’m procrastinating. I need to start a series of big canvases for a client looking for some Mid-Century Modern style images. I’d better get going, because it’s already Mid-Morning!
Have a creative day and make it fun!
Note: Thinking Green — I’m still interested in featuring your recycling ideas. Recycled art, materials, tools, equipment, you name it. Just email me with your jpegs and story at martha(dot)marshall(at)gmail(dot)com.

And how cool is this! I’m going to play with the site!
I actually like the way these small bits work upscaled.

That thing is so much fun I think I’d like to put my dogs into some of the pictures.

Glad you enjoyed this one, Angela! Go try that photo site with some of your art.
Yeah, for sure, Chewy! It’s addicting, I’ll tell ya.
You should, David. It’s a great visualization tool as well as just plain fun and games.
